World War I and Edwards County

In 2018 the topic of the Kinsley Library winter series was “World War I and America” which included an exhibit of that title provided by the Gilder Lehman Institute of American History and the National Endowment for the Humanities.  The discussion series was also supported by a grant from Humanities Kansas.

Local research was conducted to discover the role that Edwards County citizens played during this time.  As a result, this information on the soldiers and the community support for the war effort is now in the library archive.
