At Bounces and Rhymes last Thursday, we read “The Mitten” by Jan Brett. In the story a boy loses his white mitten, and many woodland animals crawl into it to keep warm. Afterwards, the children retold the story by putting pictures of the woodland animals into a big white mitten. Then the kids went off to find and match the lost mittens hidden around the library.
